NURSES ARE CONSIDERED THE MOST HONEST, ETHICAL PROFESSIONALS

A CNN/USA Today poll conducted in November 2003 revealed that nurses ranked higher than any other profession in honesty and ethical standards. 83% of the respondents gave the nurses a very high rating.

Medical doctors ranked second with a 68% rating.

Pharmacist and dentists ranked slightly lower than medical doctors.

This poll focused on medical professionals and did not include other professions such as social workers, fire fighters, and policemen.

As a medical doctor, I wish that our group had achieved a higher approval rating than 68%, but I can understand why the public would hold the nursing profession in such high esteem.
